Reduced-Fee Dyslexia Assessments

A full diagnostic dyslexia assessment is a detailed professional process involving specialist assessment, analysis and comprehensive report writing. We understand that, for some individuals and families, the cost of a private assessment can be difficult to manage.

At WordWise Dyslexia Services, we aim to make high-quality dyslexia assessments as accessible as possible. We therefore offer a limited number of reduced-fee assessments each term.

Who may be eligible?

Reduced-fee assessments may be considered for:

• Children and young people experiencing significant literacy difficulties.

• Adults who require an assessment to support education, training or employment.

• Individuals or families experiencing financial hardship.

• Learners referred through one of our partner charities or community organisations.

Priority may also be given where a school, college, university, employer or other professional has identified that a diagnostic assessment would be beneficial.

How to enquire

If you feel you may be eligible, please get in touch and briefly tell us:

• the learner's current difficulties

• whether a school, college, employer or other professional has suggested an assessment

• whether you have been referred by one of our partner charities

• why financial support would be helpful

All enquiries are treated sensitively and in confidence.

Other sources of funding

In some circumstances, the cost of an assessment may be met or partly funded by:

• schools, colleges or academy trusts

• universities

• employers or workplace support schemes

• charities and community organisations

Reduced-fee assessments are offered at the discretion of the assessor and are subject to availability each term.
