Dyslexia Screening & Support Profile | WordWise Dyslexia Kent

Dyslexia Screening & Support Profile (£200)

The Dyslexia Screening & Support Profile is a shorter, affordable option for families or schools who want an overview of a child or young person’s learning strengths and areas of difficulty without a full diagnostic report.

This profile can:

  • Identify whether a child shows traits consistent with dyslexia

  • Highlight areas such as phonological awareness, memory, reading, spelling, and writing

  • Provide practical next steps for home and school support

What Will I Receive?

  • A support profile summary (not a diagnostic report)

  • Clear guidance on whether further investigation may be helpful

  • Practical strategies and recommendations for learning support at school and at home

Dyslexia Assessment FAQ's

Does my child or young person need a dyslexia assessment?

If your child or young person struggles with reading, spelling, writing, or processing information, an assessment can help identify whether dyslexia is present.

👉 If you’re unsure, I offer a free parent consultation to help guide your decision

How do I prepare my child or young person for the assessment?

Reassure them it’s not a test - just activities to see how they learn best

  • Let them know there are no wrong answers

  • Make sure they have a good night’s sleep beforehand

  • Bring along a favourite snack or drink for breaks

What happens during the assessment?

Your child or young person will complete short, engaging tasks that explore:

  • Reading and phonics

  • Spelling and writing

  • Memory and processing

  • Cognitive strengths and challenges

Each task is short (no more than 15 minutes), with breaks as needed. My priority is to make the session calm, supportive, and confidence-building.

Where will the assessment take place?

Assessments are held at Sir Thomas Dunk’s Schoolroom, Dunks Hall, Hawkhurst, Kent — a quiet and welcoming venue, recently refurbished, with access to toilet and kitchen facilities. A fridge is available for drinks and snacks.
